Bouldering is a super fun and popular climbing sport! It's a form of rock-climbing done on shorter walls without the need for ropes or harnesses. Climbers tackle challenging routes which focus on strength, technique and problem solving skills. Each route is a short, powerful sequence of moves which allows climbers to test their skills in a safe and supportive environment with padded floors for protection.

Despite it being an individual sport, bouldering is also a social experience. Together with other climbers you can find solutions to difficult routes and encourage each other to try out challenging boulders. A drink with your friends after a hefty climbing session is also always a good idea!

In our gym, the routes are many different colours. Each route is scored on a number between 1 and 10. This number indicates the difficulty level with 1 being the least difficult and 10 being the most challenging. Once a week we remove all the routes off one wall and build new routes on it. This way there’s always something new to climb!
